Order & Production
Are your steering wheels made to order or kept in stock?
All of our steering wheels are custom-built to order to ensure each one meets your exact specifications. We occasionally have pre-built wheels available at a discount — check our collections for current availability.
What if I don't see my vehicle on the website?
We specialize in muscle cars (Mustang, Charger, Challenger, Camaro, Corvette), but can build for many other platforms. Contact us with your year/make/model and we'll let you know if we can help.
How long is your build time?
Custom steering wheels typically take 4-6 weeks from order to ship. Lead times can vary based on current order volume and customization complexity — we'll give you an accurate estimate when you order.
Do I need to send in my own steering wheel?
No! All prices include a steering wheel core. You keep your original wheel.
Will I see photos before my order ships?
Yes! We'll send you final photos for approval before shipping. You'll also receive tracking information once it ships.
Why is my custom order taking longer than expected?
Every wheel is 100% handcrafted from start to finish. Depending on your customization choices, some builds require more time to get right. We appreciate your patience — the wait is worth it!
Product & Fitment
Do the steering wheels retain all stock functions?
Yes — all wheels retain full OEM functionality including buttons, controls, and heated steering (heated steering retention available for an additional cost).
Does it come with an airbag?
The steering wheel does not include an airbag. Your OEM airbag and all existing electronics will fit directly into our wheel.
Is it real carbon fiber? Your prices seem too good to be true.
Everything is 100% genuine carbon fiber. We source from the same manufacturers as our competitors — we just don't mark up as heavily. Same quality, better price.
Are Your Custom Wheels steering wheels new?
Our custom steering wheels are built on OEM steering wheel cores in good structural condition. All materials (carbon fiber, leather, alcantara) applied during customization are brand new.
Should I have the steering wheel professionally installed?
Many customers install the wheel themselves — it's straightforward. If you prefer professional installation, any independent shop should only charge 0.5 to 1 hour of labor. Your Custom Wheels is not responsible for installation costs.
What if the wheel doesn't fit my car?
We verify fitment before building. If you selected the correct year/make/model during order, the wheel will fit. If there's an issue due to our error, we'll make it right.
Shipping & Returns
How fast is your shipping?
In-stock items ship within 3 business days. Custom orders ship once approved by you (typically 4-6 weeks from order). Shipping to the lower 48 states takes 2-5 business days via UPS Ground.
What's your warranty?
1-year manufacturer warranty on carbon fiber finish against defects and heat cracking. This does not cover normal wear, installation damage, or modifications.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we only ship within the United States. International shipping may be available in the future.
Can I return a custom steering wheel?
Custom orders are non-returnable once production has started. If there's a verified defect or fitment issue due to our error, contact us and we'll make it right.
